This album art is so good! Album art is important to the imagery that's evoked, however the music does a good job of evoking imagery on its own. I've been meaning to get some dungeon synth, perfect starting point with LOTR.

The Avantgarde Music vinyl edition brought this to my attention; I'm a bit late, but wow. Lots of genres are spanned here and yet it remains really cohesive. Epic, ghastly, slightly ambient. No need to be a hardcore Tolkien fan or anything either – just dig in and enjoy.
